— Max Peterson, the Phone Guy in Five Nights at Wario's 3

The Phone Guys are characters in the Five Nights at Wario's series who guide the player in his attempt to survive the nights at Wario's Fast Food Factory, WarioWare Inc., and Richard McRoy's House.

Five Nights at Wario's[]

This game's Phone Guy, James Peterson, is the deuteragonist. He leaves you messages every night except Night 6. He gives you tips and hints for the plot of the game, until his death on Night 5 at the hands of Wario which is caused by him trying to get into the factory. However this was changed when the story was updated, and now James mysteriously vanishes when he walks up to the factory, after which Wario picks up his dropped phone.

Five Nights at Wario's 2[]

Phone Guy in this game, Richard McRoy appears to be one of the antagonists. He gives you tips and hints for the plot every night, but in Night 6, he reveals his true side, being possessed by Luigi. In the ending of the game, he goes into hiding from the police.

Classic Mode Ending[]

The Classic mode ending is a call that happens after you beat Night 7 in Five Nights at Wario's 2's classic mode. It is a hint at the true personality of the Phone Guy.

This was a rare game over screen in v1.0.

"Hello, hello? Are you there or not? *laughing* Good."

Five Nights at Wario's 3[]

Phone Guy in this game, who introduced himself as Max Peterson, is the deuteragonist. He gives you tips and hints for the plot every night, until Night 5, which is when he gets murdered by the second game's Phone Guy (Richard McRoy), who was possessed by Peach.

Five Nights at Wario's Origins[]

In 1988 mode, Winslow will call the player on the cut scenes before nights, often expressing concern that you have stayed but giving helpful tips. Winslow also acts as the player character for the 2018 mode.

In 2018 mode, the new phone guy will call you on your first night, acting similarly to the earlier person in giving you tips about the slightly changed location. Tips related to later nights in this mode are shown on a cell phone.
