And later the same night Mario and Luigi, they went into the factory to look for them, but the thing is, they never came out either...

Phone Guy, Night 3

Luigi is the one of the antagonists of the Five Nights at Wario's series. In search of Wario and Waluigi, along with his older brother Mario, after their disappearance in their fast food factory, they were killed and came back as vengeful spirits, now haunting the player who they believe is responsible for their deaths.

Physical Appearance[]

Luigi essentially looks like the character from the Super Mario games. However, he has a long distorted nose and empty-looking eyes with no eyebrows, he also has cracks on his body.

In the third game, Luigi has small white eye pupils, the cracks on his body are gone, and he is covered in blood.

In Origins, Luigi retains his look from the third game, except his eyes are now empty with eyebrows and his nose is no longer distorted.

In the fourth game, Luigi retains his look from the first game, except he has no cracks on his body, and his nose isn't distorted.

In the Five Shows at Wario's, Luigi is back to his appearance in the first game, with scratches on his skin and clothes, along with a longer stretched out nose. His body is covered in dust and he has a slight blood stain on his overalls.

Five Nights at Wario's[]

Luigi becomes active at Night 2.

He starts in Entrance 2, then goes through the Corridor, and the Control Room, before attempting to go into The Office. Upon seeing him behind the right window, the player must immediately shut it, otherwise, he'll jam the buttons and eventually kill them. If he jams the buttons, he'll jumpscare the player whether they use the monitor or not.

Sometimes, Luigi can be seen floating, or hanging, in the Corridor. This occurrence has no effect on the gameplay. It should be noted that Luigi doesn't come to the blind spot very often compared to Wario or Waluigi, meaning that when he does, he tends to stay longer, wasting more power.

Five Nights at Wario's 2[]

Luigi is absent as an active character. However, after the factory closed down and Richard McRoy left the area, he left his body and started to take control of Richard. As the nights go on, Richard starts to grow more deranged, as Luigi takes more control over his body until, eventually after Night 7, he retreats from the location and returns to his original body, making Peach take his place on possessing Richard.

Five Nights at Wario's 3[]

Luigi returns in Five Nights at Wario's 3. He makes his possible first appearance at Night 2.

Night 2[]

Kitchen[]

Luigi starts in Living Room 3. He moves through the Staircase and then Living Room 2, before entering the Kitchen. To fend him off, the player must add fuel only when he's alongside them in the room.

Night 3[]

Bedroom[]

Luigi starts in the Bathroom. He then goes through the Kitchen, Living Room 2, and hides behind the curtain of the Bedroom. To fend him off, the player must turn on the lamp and keep it on until he walks away.

Night 4[]

Hallway[]

Luigi starts in the Living Room. He then enters the Laundry, before eventually reaching the player's current location from the behind and attacking them. The player must listen carefully to his breathing and, when they are heard in the Laundry, block the back path.

Laundry[]

Luigi starts in the Playroom. He moves through Bedroom 2 and the Hallway before standing right behind the player's current location. As he moans, the player must quickly look to the left and the right. It is not possible to hear him if the washing machine is turned on.

Night 5[]

In the Cellar, Luigi will sometimes appear on the right side of the room. To fend him off, the player must simply look to the left.

Five Nights at Wario's: Origins[]

Luigi makes his third appearance in Five Nights at Wario's: Origins. He appears only at Night 3.

Luigi is at the Attic's window. He will only move the longer the power stays out. If he is staring, the player must not enter the Attic. Doing so will result in a game over.

Five Nights at Wario's 4[]

Luigi makes his fourth appearance in Five Nights at Wario's 4.

In Week 1, Luigi may appear on any channel at random, much like Wario. He will appear right in front of the screen after one second if he is there. In order to avoid getting killed by him, the player must go to another channel.

In Week 2, he acts differently. At a random occurrence, three Luigis will spawn in Channel 1, with one being different from the others. In order to avoid him, the player must click the different Luigis and he will disappear. He will kill the player if they don't find the right Luigi in time, or find a wrong Luigi.

His differences can be as follows:

-A middle finger on his left hand sticking out

-His left button on his overalls missing

-His left ear being gone

-His right thumb being gone

The difference can also be that one Luigi is the only normal one, with both others sharing a difference that was just listed.

Trivia[]

Five Nights at Wario's[]

  • The way he occasionally floats (or hangs) in the Corridor, maybe a reference to the "Hanging Luigi" glitch from Luigi's Mansion, in which when lightning strikes, his shadow may appear to be hanging.
  • His jumpscare is very irregular. He seems to be flying towards the player, his arms and legs flailing. He also seems to be extremely anxious, surprised, or scared.
    • The jumpscare is using the animation for his dash attack from Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
  • Despite being deformed when he's on camera, Luigi's nose is normal when he is seen at the window as well as during his jumpscare.
    • This is due to these specific frames using Luigi's normal animations from Super Smash Bros. Brawl. When he is on-camera in the Corridor and the Control Room, he uses Mario's animations from Brawl, which distorts the nose on the model.
  • Luigi makes a cameo in another Five Nights at Freddy's fan game titled One Night at Flumpty's 2.
    • due to the fanverse, Luigi was replaced with Diz from Riddle School for the 2.0 update for One Night at Flumpty's 2.

Five Nights at Wario's 3[]

  • Sometimes, Luigi can be seen hanging in Living Room 2. A similar scene can be seen in the Corridor in the first game.
  • Depending on the player's choices, Luigi might make his first and only appearance at Night 5.

Five Nights at Wario's: Origins[]

  • This is Luigi's least active appearance in the Wario's games, only being in one Night in a single room.
  • Depending on the player's speed, Luigi could not appear at all in the game.
  • During Luigi’s jumpscare, he has uncropped white space below him, but it is never seen in-game.
